Spendpile: Budget & Bill Scan Privacy Policy

Effective 22 September 2026 · Android app com.printmov.expensetracker by PRINTmov

In short: Your accounts, balances, spending and bill photos are stored only on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up and no ads, and the developer never receives your financial data. Bills are read on your phone using Google ML Kit, which may send Google anonymous diagnostic information about how the scanner performs (explained below).

What the app stores on your phone

This data stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. The app never asks for bank logins and does not connect to your bank.

Camera and photos

When you scan a bill, you either take a photo with your camera app or choose an image yourself. The app only receives the photo you take or pick. It does not access your other photos.

Bill scanning (Google ML Kit)

Text on your bills is read on your phone by Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition. Your bill photos and their contents are not sent to Google or anyone else.

ML Kit may send Google limited diagnostic and usage information, such as device model, app information and how the scanner performs, so Google can maintain and improve it. This does not include your photos or your financial data. See Google's ML Kit terms and Google's privacy policy.

Backups and exports

When you export a backup or a spreadsheet (CSV), the file is saved to a location you choose, and you decide what happens to it. Bill photos are not included in backups.

If you use Android's own device backup, Android may include the app's data in your personal backup to your Google account. This is controlled by you in Android settings and handled under Google's privacy policy.

Children

Spendpile: Budget & Bill Scan is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
